Svey Rieng sits on the Vietnamese border, and receives traffic to the Bavet border crossing. There is a large market, Phsa Svey Rieng, dealing with border trade goods including vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, and other goods.
Prey Veng features the two largest rivers in the country, the Tonle Mekong and the Tonle Bassac. Sites of interest include the Baray Andet local resort area, where it is believed magical spirits gather, and people play music for the Neak Ta spirits.
